thru the fog of the harbor
when you're just a traveler

it's just you & the bottle
so you drink like you'd drown
in the dock of the harbor
rise with the young winter light

six moon's & three suns
burst forth from the hawks throat
but that's just a dream
now it's time to move onward

shave my beard
blending in for two whole years
hiding out, hate my face
got so afraid & something changed
i was a king before
because i'd decided to be
i'm gonna be a king once more
after some therapy
& now i feel so pretty again
after losing my confidence
i'm coming back like the fog
to blanket this entire city
in my fashion from the thrift shop
walk down the street
hear them laugh
somebody screaming at me
as the car passed
catch her eye
audience claps
"where'd you get that shirt embroidered with a tabby cat?"
i said
"there's a blue tag sale at salvation army,
do you wanna go down there
with me for some therapy?"
